A lot of MC’s would be patting themselves on the back if they were in Wale’s Dunks. It seems like someone sent him the “Hot Rapper Kit” in the mail with all its accoutrements. He is one of the 10 MC’s XXL called “The Leaders Of The New School.” He has the big label deal with Interscope via star DJ Mark Ronson’s Allido Records. He counts Fabolous, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Lily Allen as friends and collaborators. And he just inked a management deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint. Things should be good money. While he’s thankful all the “cool kids” know his name for the support he sees it as the beginning of a long process to get to stardom. As far as he’s concerned, the hard part ain’t over yet.

This has a special connection to the Bean since the filmmaker Phonz, who is also Jay’s cousin, is from Boston. From what I understand its going to be packaged with 50′s Before I Self Destruct. Stay tuned we are working on getting some exclusive info on this project.
