After leaking joints all summer Dre has FINALLY dropped the Lost
Treasure. The project is a mix of favorite freestyle, previously
unreleased music and fresh new track. The lead single Wah Do Dem (What
It Look Like) is produced by up and coming producer Hamma and is built
on reggae foundation. The track finds Dre using his Jamaican roots to
craft another hit. Video below
So I posted a mixtape from Dutch (@DutchRebelleFN) a couple weeks back. Definitely impressed by her skills. Then I discovered her Mestyle Fridays series on Youtube. Every week she drops a verse and throws up a video of the results. Here are the two latest. Peep the one of her freestyling while driving to the airport. After watching them I am convinced for sure. She is a MONSTER. She is better than your girl. She better than your mans and them. She is better than your cousin. She is probably better than you. She is a problem. Salute!
Tomorrow night we connect with the good cats at Brand Nation (@Brand_Nation), Famous Nobodies (@FamousNobodies) and Justin Springer to bring you Dre Rob’s release party. Since its Dre’s first CD in like 2 years we can expect some heat. Actually I know for a fact its crazy. But I’m biased. HA! The party should be a good time though. Available for free digital download on ThatsMajor.info on August 17, 2010, Lost Treasure is a collection of brand new material and selections that slipped under the radar. Having released cd’s with Hip Hop greats such as DJ Khaled and DJ Kay Slay, Lost Treasure is classic Dre. Dre goes in on new freestyles and original tracks like “Droppin Bills” produced by Marcus DL and “Fade Away” featuring reggae star Mighty Mystic. Its gives us a good look at where Dre has been and where he is about to go. Driven by the new single “Wah Do Dem (What It Look Like?) this is Dre’s best work to date.
Teaming up with the hottest Hip Hop night in the city seemed only right for the Lost Treasure release party. Cream Tuesdays at Underbar has become the hang out of the stars when in Boston. Led by marketing and brand management company Brand Nation, Cream has recently seen a slate of internationally famous DJ’s take over the set as well. DJ Drama, Clinton Sparks and Grammy Award winning producer Will.I.Am have all rocked crowds at Cream.

I’m glad to see another emcee out of mass get a big look like this…. great song!
The new @BostonsBoy and MattyTrump Jawn… I’ve given people who dont view Sam Adams so favorably a chance to voice their opinions, its only fair that I give you some music of his so you can make your own decisions… Matty killed the beat IMO, dude keeps stepping his game up
“Still I Rise” is Sam Adams’ the follow-up to the smash single “Driving Me Crazy” off his March 5th debut EP, ‘Boston’s Boy.’ Even though Adams has culled fans in the Boston region, he recently emerged in the limelight after his debut reached No. 1 on the iTunes hip-hop albums a couple months ago — beating DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne and causing everyone to ask: Who is this guy?

Boston based, New Jersey born emcee Black EL has racked up several accolades since the release of his debut album, A Major Minority. EL found some success on the 2dopeboyz/illRoots co-signed project, including 80,000+ downloads, several write-ups on respected sites like okayplayer.com and hiphopdx.com, and being featured on the front page of Myspace music.
He will be releasing his next project, Color Commentary, at the end of the month (8/31). Until then, he will be releasing tracks that are not on the project as a re-introduction, most of which are produced by Durkin who is responsible for the entire production of Color Commentary.
In the first joint, “MILF & Cookies,” Black EL confesses his love for fine, older women over a loop from the Bumblebeez’s song, “Black Dirt.”
Dre Robinson (@DreRob) takes to his twitter again to let loose another joint to get cats ready for his Lost Treasure street album next Tuesday. He said one joint a day till Tuesday. He is in full promo mode now. Can’t be mad at my boy. This one produced by Marcus DL. Def has a club knock.
